Software Selection
Based on your needs.
The primary goal of manufacturing and distribution companies is to deliver quality goods to their customers in a cost-effective manner. These organizations realize that utilizing the latest technologies available in the market to achieve their primary goals is not an option that should be ignored. Understanding that the wide variety of software vendors that are available to companies today, and that a thorough knowledge of these vendors and the functionality they provide is outside the core competencies of manufacturing and distribution companies, Conigent has developed a process by which they lead companies through the Software Selection process.
Simply because a software company sponsors a golf championship or invests in advertising at the airport does not mean that they are the best fit for a given organization. Conigent focuses the software selection on a clearly defined set of requirements. These business needs are derived from interviews with top level executives through to the end user dispatchers, clerks, and sales representatives. Once an objective list of requirements is gathered, they are compiled based on a predetermined weighting system for each requirement as to the importance of the requirement to the business.
“I have led several large software selection decisions at CRH and have never been so prepared as I was with this decision. I know we made the right decision." -- Frank Murtagh, CIO, CRH
